My AC has once again breathed its last.
I get it fixed roughly once every two years, but I'm thinking of trying to tough it out this summer. The electric bill was only a hundred bucks last month, and when I think about the two hundred dollars a month it was last summer, well, the heat doesn't seem so bad. The downside is, it is humid as heck here, and that makes the heat worse.
What does this have to do with writing you ask? Well, the computer is in the den, and the den is next to the kitchen, making this the second hottest room in the house. I come in here, notebook in hand, to sit down and type up what I have and check my email, and I can almost feel my brain melting out of my ears. However, it's raining today and only like seventy five degrees right now, so I should get some stuff up tonight and finally respond to everyone. I'm also breaking down and ordering pizza later so I don't have to turn the stove on and ruin my nice cool room. That, and if I did turn it on, I think Nikki (my old, grumpy dog) would bite me (the only person she hasn't bitten yet) for heating up her wonderfully cool kitchen floor.
Thanks to everyone who's read Side Effects and reviewed it so far. After I finish typing up have I have of the AGP rewrite (which isn't getting reposted until it's completely done. Sorry to anyone who's waiting.), chapter three of SE will get typed up and edited, along with a few more Snapshots.
